Poem of War

Hiding, petrified, scared to come out
as I missed my mum.
she was there then gone
as the bomb dropped.

Yet this war wouldn’t stop there.
I had to wear a gas mask.
Ad the hardest part was the bunker.
All day horror, screams and more masks

I’m so hungry where’s the food gone?
I was hurt inside and out.
What could I do?

I could run and never stop running
but war would stalk me
it would follow me and never stop
and I could never escape.
