Life in world war 1
Alone again in this sick trench, drowning whilst everyone else is attacking like a wild river.
Sergeant Willow told me to go into the bloodbath and march with the others.
Bang! Bang! That’s my que, I am holding my gun marching. This rifle I am holding is my only weapon I have against the German soldiers.
Bang! Bang! Oh no, my best friend has been shot, the blood on his face makes me sick. I promise to you my friend, I will avenge you.
My tears are making me see the soldiers blurry, but I must never loose hope.
Bang! Bang! I killed one of the German soldiers. I am joyful but depressed because the man I shot would have had a best friend too.
Bang! Bang! Nobody stops firing their guns until the mustard gas kills their lungs.
