lest we forget the world yesterday
Lest we forget the soldiers we fought,
The young ones are training,
Is it a lesson well taught?
Lest we forget we didn’t fight alone,
The world once worth saving,
Its killing at the bone.
Lest we forget the people we lost,
The lives we’re not saving,
The world has really cost!
Lest we forget that we are all burning,
The war that we’ve caused,
We should really be learning.
Lest we forget we deserve all this beating,
For the sins that we’ve done,
After gods only meeting.
Lest we forget that mothers are crying,
Their son’s go to war,
They fight and they’re dying.
Lest we forget the world yesterday,
And we will remember,
The young ones today.
