In the trenches
Men dropping down like flys,
Blood dripping from their plain white eyes,
Every man fighting with pride,
Only to lose their lives.
As my friend goes into no-mans land,
He sinks into the quicksand,
Gas masks on for everyone around,
But my dad couldn’t get around.
He did it all to save me,
But no one needs me,
Were wars theirs peace,
Were peace their war
