War

On the battlefield there are boys and men,
Fighting side by side.
Not for themselves but for their country,
Where too many brave soldiers have died.

A catastrophe of bombshells are scattered about,
Over the obliterated fields.
The bodies of innocent soldiers,
With wounds that could never be healed.

Their prayers are not unanswered,
But now they have little hope.
The men are weak and injured,
But the boys they have no hope.

Their morale is pretty much gone now,
None are feeling well.
It’s a sad time in history,
Because Wartime is just hell.
