There are no winners in war

There are no winners in war.

Stood on the front line,
Trying to convince myself I’m fine.
Stood in the vast land,
Looking at nothing but a heap of sand.

As the smoke clears,
Everyone still fears.
Not knowing who’s still alive,
Everyone hopes they will survive.

All the noise has ended,
Let’s hope the enemies have surrender.
Bodies lying in no man land,
There family’s grief is hard to withstand.
We bury their flesh in deep dark pit,
Ask yourselves, is war really worth it?
