Let us never forget!

Let’s all remember the eleventh of November
So on the minute of silence there is no violence
We have poppies on our shirt for those who had fallen in the dirt
But medals for those who came back with a rose!

On the eleventh hour the guns were dropped
Finally all the bombs were stopped
The children sang and no bullets went bang
And the peace was resumed at last

Well done to those who held a gun
Now that deadly war was won
But don’t forget about those who died
And all the people who have mourned and cried

So on this day we stop and pray
And try to remember the deadly way
That soldiers fought and soldiers died
What an awful way to decide!
