A Spy

While I sat in the trench
I noticed a revolting stench
A rat ran over my cheers
Yet all I could do was try and rest
My leg, I think, was infected
And I think a fellow soldier had detected
I was not a German soldier at all
But a English spy and was caught and told to recall
All I had learned about their plan
And there was one man
Who stood in their way
No matter how many times I said “neigh”
I knew what was to come
And I would just feel numb
BANG! Suddenly a red trickle ran down my arm
I had been shot, i tried to stay calm
But I could not, as the Crimson flowed
It showed
The suculent colour of scarlet
I was delusional, he aimed for one last shot
I was even more numb nd even more hot
BANG! This time in the head
And finally I was dead.
