He just sat there alone,
Trying to forget what happened in the battlefield,
Even after the war is over,
The spools of suffering still go on in his mind.

All of the deaths were violent,
Even now they’re over they don’t seem silent,
The war never ended in his mind,
In his head the thoughts of war is all he can find.

Constantly getting flashbacks,
Of fighting in the war,
Could he possibly forget what happened?
Nobody from the younger generation could understand,
War never ends!
