Rememberance
Today the sun rises over Flanders field,
Casting its tranquil rays and shining proudly down,
Over the thousands of now peacefully sleeping heroic soldiers,
Who tragically suffered then for our freedom now,
One hundred years ago.
Black fumes now blue skies,
These famous fields have seen it all.
Poppies grow and bow down,
Like blood spilling over the grassy fields,
Like it was once before.
Tonight the sun will set and darkness will be cast over the land,
But the soldier’s bravery will still shine,
And the poppies,
The freedom,
The Remembrance
Will remain.
