A Field of Rememberance
A field of blood,
What does it mean?
A soldier that we have never seen
But in our hearts he will remain,
Even if we don’t know his name.
Willingly they went: fearless and bold
From villages and towns: young and old,
To fight for a cause they thought they knew
But in the end there were very few.
Through the ground barren and bare,
Without fail they would be there,
They gave their lives for you and me,
So that one day we could be free.
