All That’s Left
Fields flooded with blood and tears,
The once excitement has turned to fears.
The boys that left England’s shores are gone,
All that’s left are broken men, and memories of everyone.
Children have been told a gruesome lie,
They hear about glory, but not until they die,
Will they ever realise that all of the glory,
Was just a made up children’s story?
The ground shakes,
The sound of explosions,
The earth quakes,
In a deep erosion.
Tanks made of steel,
Fates are already sealed.
The screams of terror still echo,
They died today so we can live tomorrow.
