10 million died,
65 million tried,
too many tears we have cried.

The people we have lost,
why such a cost?

We shall always remember the fight,
and people will always hold on tight,
to the memories we still hold,
their hearts were made of gold.

The trenches were dug deep,
so they could hide and peep,
why they had to do so,
we people will never know.

What they had to go through,
is not the same for me and you,

There is only one name they shall have,
and that is HEROES!!!

Heroes is their name,
they cried through most pain,
and though they had to die,
