Walking off the bus,
Running to his child,
Leaving war behind,
Traumatic memories always in his mind.

Signs of bravery marked on his skin,
He prayed to God begging him to forgive his sin,
Tears flooded from his fear-filled eyes,
He surrended from his final battle with his mind.

Memories of war ignited,
Blood filled flames burned in his head,
Friends lost or worse… dead,
This soldier is lost, lost in thoughts of war
