Mortem (death)

The wind shivers as bullets soar through the air,
Innocence is lost as vengeance they declare,
Devastation strikes fear into the hearts of all men,
Souls are left scattered as swords pierce again.

Bodies seize with fear and pain,
Soldiers battle with the anger they struggle to contain,
Men flee the battleground and hope for redemption,
Whilst wives are left grief stricken coping with the tension.

Nature stills as it watches the massacre,
Lives torn apart by the needless disaster,
For their lives they wish to implore,
Too many people fell for the cause of war.
Mortem…
