Our Fearless Soldiers
An anniversary of 100 years,
For our fearless soldiers that care,
4 years of brutal war,
Like they’d never seen before,
Feeling alone, frightened and scared,
The soldiers were unprepared,
After basic training given on home land,
The troop ships were played out by the band,
Whilst loved ones waved with a tear in their eyes,
Worried that this could be their last goodbyes,
On the front line, brave fighters, they fell,
Fathers, Sons and brothers as well,
At the end of the war so many men lost,
And families at home suffered the real cost,
We must continue to remember the dead,
Rather than fight pray for world peace instead.
