Remember the gas,
remember the bombs.
They were told the war would soon pass.

Remember the gun,
remember the trench.
How long was it till’ you seen the sun.

Remember the soldiers that fought for our country.
Remember the pain they went through.
This is why I wrote this poem,
to show the love for our country was true.
