Soldier’s Perspective

I was chosen one; I accepted their command
I was wounded; I continued through the pain
I longed to see my family; I became stronger
I lost fellow soldiers; I grew more powerful
Tears escaping out of my eyes as I face another day in depression and confusion,
My palms sweat as I repeat to myself that I’m fearless and never weak,
Watching others in agony only increases my physical pain,
Until one day when it all abruptly ends.
