Some May Call Me A Hero

Tell my mother not to cry,
When my body is returned,
It will be black and blue with sorrow,
But bleeding with pride,
Tell my father not to weep,
When I’m buried beneath the ground,
For I spent my time fighting battles that were not my own,
And now it’s time for me to rest,
I am not a fallen soldier,
And this is not a tragedy,
I am simply a man fighting for the lives of others,
In hope that peace will be won.
