People dying around me, scared and worried,
They thought it would never end…

War ships surrounding the land fighting off the other country,
Guns sounding like an alarm telling people someone’s close,

People running saying move away move away,
But it was already too late,

Troops dying.
Countries scared,
They thought when will this end?

People badly injured wanting to fight,
But need to rest big and strong,
They thought it would never end…

Ships being sunk,
More men dying,
They thought it would never end…

More people being sent to fight,
More people being laid to rest,
They thought it would never end…

Badges being given,
For brave hard work,
Finally it ended…

Memories kept for years and years,
Soldiers coming home to family,
Friends and family will be lost…

Families crying for the lost,
Why did they have to go?
I wonder if some will ever come home…
