War poem

Combat, dust and disease,
Combat, dust and disease,
Go to war for king and country,
Go to war for king and country,
Go to war for your king,
Who will not do anything,
I’ll go to war for my country.

Belligerent in Belgium,
Frank in France,
No greatness in Great Britain,
It’s simply a wistful dance.

Think for a moment about the dead,
Never again they’re saying, say and said,
Yet it still goes on,
In Iraq,
Afghanistan,
Syria,
Iran

Love, peace and harmony;
Very nice,
Very nice,
But perhaps in the next world.
