We Remember Them
We remember them,
Young boys and men
Who will never see rich English soil again,
We remember them.
Bright poppies grow in the battlefields,
Poppies as red as the blood they shed,
We will remember them.
Homesick and terrified,
Their lives will never return to normal,
We will remember them.
Trapped in the trenches for our freedom,
Fear of the unknown, they will never return home,
We remember them.
They sacrificed their today for our tomorrow,
We remember them all.
