WW1 Christmas Time

The day of Christmas Eve had begun. The first bullet fired. A battle starts and blood is spilt. Brown water turns to red. The first battle stops and all the dead lay upon. All is quiet until a bomb is launched and hits the ground and the air turns to great.
Bodies fly everywhere and nothing to be seen. The dust passes by and nothing is around. Bodies into no-man’s land and living not to be seen. The enemy approach. English soldiers rise and fire away. Too soon all gone on Christmas Eve.
Christmas day a sound of a bell. A white flag to call a trues. For today let’s sing Carols and a game. Football. Weapons put down fighting forgotten. Out into no-man’s land.
Carols sung , a football game played. For today football is more important than life or death. Game over, no-one won. Back to the trenches to get ready for war again.
